TRAVEL
Last week I stumbled across the cutest little Inn located just south of my home in the Florida Treasure Coast’s charming Downtown Stuart. Stuart is frequently cited as one of the best small towns to visit in the United States, in large part because of Stuarts proximity to the St. Lucie River and the Indian River Lagoon. I find myself traveling to Stuart because of its small town vibe, Coffee Bar Blue Door, artsy stores, The Gafford, and above all the sun sand & fishing.
The Blue House at Old Colorado Inn is an off-site (250 feet from the main hotel building) two-story stand-alone historic home that sleeps up to 9 guests, featuring three bedrooms (queen bed in first ground-floor bedroom, full bed in second ground-floor bedroom, and king bed, 2 single beds, and convertible single sofa bed in second story bedroom/oversized loft), 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining room, spacious front porch with river views, and spacious private backyard with 8-person spa, gas grill, hammock, oversized picnic table, and comfortable lounge chairs. This 1915 Sears and Roebuck “Kit” home has been lovingly restored with newly refinished intricate woodwork throughout and furnished with charming antiques and décor.

PHOTOGRAPHY
by Paula Jackson
Paula is just about a natural at anything that involves an artful eye. The two of us met through mutual friends back in 2010, and we just clicked from the minute we spoke about our love for carbs over dinner (insert giggles.)
I’ve Personally followed her journey as a photographer, and I must say it has been a very exciting experience. She started out by photographing her children, and small photo shoots in our local town of Tradition, Florida. She is now a published photographer working and contributing alongside companies such as Hooligans Magazine and Brooke Logue.
“I promise you this is someone to keep in your bookmarks.”
I’ve had the pleasure of working with her on her first Fashion+Travel blog layout, and she was nothing less than perfect. She adapted to the location that I threw at her without ever seeing it before and immediately presented a professional manner. It’s clear that Paula takes pride in her work, and strives to capture natural images. I look forward to working more with her in style publishing in the future but, keep an eye out for her very skilled lifestyle photography. Paula Jackson is on the rise for South Florida Photographers, and there is no stopping this talented business owner.
