For as long as I could remember, I’ve been running around with a sort of tomboy-ish style. Not just your average tomboy with ripped jeans and a basic white tee. I’ve always added a little thing or two to give it a feminine touch. From a cute purse, to fun shoes, to a bow around the neck. Just a little somethin’ somethin’.
The ones closest to me would most likely assume that I developed this tomboy style from growing up with an older brother and tons of male cousins, but that’s not entirely the case.
I dress like this because that’s what makes me feel comfortable. I have always stressed that being true to your style is key to being a Blogionista!
When I first started blogging, I was unsure if my style would even attract the average style reader, but then I came across a very well known blogger named Julie Sariñana of Sincerely Jules.
If you follow Jules and her blog, then you will immediately see the similarities. I have fed off of her style since 2012, and it’s only given me a stronger sense of security for the way that I dress every day. She has given so many women the comfort of not having to put a dress on every day with heels. But that you can add a pair of sneakers to just about anything.
Jules has been my style icon, and I felt it suiting to pair my ripped denim jeans today with not just any basic tee, but a Shop Sincerely Jules tee. Shop it direct here.
